My favorite part of this experience was when we found out we weren’t able to have a live audience and all of us were very devastated yet we managed to play on and do the show despite all of us being very upset, but all of us having hope and excited for the livestream. The following day, we had rehearsal and we did act 1, thinking we were going to do it one last time for the livestream on Friday, but then finding out that we actually couldn’t. We were all devastated but we put on Act 2 like pros and got through it despite our spirits being crushed. When Bows happened, we all cheered each other on because there was no audience and we were screaming our heads off cheering for each other. My favorite part of Twelfth Night was becoming a family and supporting each other through all this hardship and never losing hope. We played on.

Applications for Tech Crew
You must read this and then complete the following 4 steps to be eligible for tech crew. Not everyone who applies for tech crew will be put on tech crew. There simply are not enough jobs, or room backstage.
1. Fill out the online information form. 2. Print and have your parent/guardian sign the Parent Signature form, then BRING IT (on) to your interview on Tuesday, Dec 3, 2-3:30. You WILL NOT be cast in the show if we do not receive a signed form by Tuesday, Dec. 3rd. 3. Listen to the songs the actors are preparing. Create a design for a costume, prop, set, lighting effect, soundscape, poster, or cue sheet based on one of the songs. See examples here. One cool thing about Shakespeare is you can set the play in many time periods or environments. We have done Romeo and Juliet in a punk 80s club and Cymbeline in a British boarding school. Be creative! 4. Present your design in a small group on Tuesday, Dec 3, 2-3:30. Also hand us your signed parent form! Completing these steps does NOT guarantee you will be on tech crew. But not completing them DEFINITELY means you won't be on tech crew. You must complete all 4 steps to be considered. Have fun and good luck! |
