TO ALL THOSE WHO AUDITIONED AND OUR FANTASTIC BIGELOW DRAMA STUDENTS: ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE by Christopher Durang is the short play that Bigelow Drama has chosen for this year's METG Festival. It is a farcical look into the world of theatre professionals and the nightmares that haunt them.
Our production will bring a fast-paced, movement-based performance whose primary goal is to introduce the students involved to many styles of movement and performance throughout history. Christopher Durang has given us a wonderful piece to develop ourselves (actors and directors alike) into strong visual performers. We will study the likes of Elizabethan performance, Commedia Dell'arte, interpretive dance, mask, and more.
We thank everyone for their hard work at auditions. For those who did not make the cast and/or crew, we want you to remember, 1) You ALL made this a very difficult decision for Ms. Lovewell and Mr. Cyr 2) Never give up. You have tremendous abilities on the stage and one audition should never define you. Rather, let yourself learn from this one and inquire about how you might improve. You all have many more shows ahead of you if you just keep giving it your all. 3) Your Bigelow Drama family is always here. Speak with Ms. Lovewell and Mr. Cyr about how else you might be able to get involved.
I hope that everyone is as excited as Ms. Lovewell and Mr. Cyr to bring yet another over-the-top production to the Bigelow Stage. Here is the Cast List:
