EVERYONE who successfully completes all of the acting audition requirements (the steps above left in red) for the musical will get an acting part in the show. We try to giving speaking parts and featured singing roles to as many people as possible. For tech crew, we have only 18 spots available, so we may have to cut people depending on how many audition for tech crew.
In general, 6th graders are typically cast in ensemble roles where they can learn about being in a production; 7th graders are typically cast in supporting or ensemble roles to continue building performance skills; the main roles are typically reserved for 8th graders who have a history of commitment to drama (including auditioning for plays at Bigelow, attending drama events and conducting themselves in a respectful and responsible manner in all drama productions). THIS IS NOT A GUARANTEE FOR ANY 8TH GRADER.
